Simplicity, the mother of all invention

My recomendation takes advantage of the elasticity and strength of the materials of its construction. The original type has for more than a hundred years proved to be the most practical and useful. A movie has been made about it, the world's largest measures in at 6 metres, Kyle Mc Donald started with one red one and traded it for various objects until he eventually acquired a house in 2006. 1,560,377 of them which totaled 22.17 miles in length is acurrent world record. Mahatma Gandhi once removed one from the verbose and pretentious letter to which it was attached and threw the letter, in the dust-bin. Mahatma, explaining that he retained whatever was of merit in the letter. And without it many, many other patented objects would not have made off the inventors drawing board and ideas desk. I speak of the humble paper clip, recommended by some big names in the micro technology industry as the perfect tool to reset a dodgy hard disk, clean mouseballs etc etc. What other product has won design awards for achieving the holy grail of architecture, the perfect marriage of form and function.
