Compass

A compass is probably man's best invention ever.

In short it is a navigational instrument to determine your place on earth. If you only consider this senctence one knows that it is and always will be the best invention ever.

Already 4 B.C. men started discovering the influence of earth's magnetic field. This all started in China. Many years later it came over to Europe and so on. And as off now people all over the world work with the modern compass.

Imagine a world without this handy instrument! You would climb a mountain but would not know where you are and probably get lost.

Anywhere on earth you can locate precisely your location and you would always find a way to get where you need to be.

Before we people had this instrument, we never knew our place on earth and we had to find our way looking at certain trees or plants or just recognition points.

In short it is an instrument that has led to world discovery to the knowledge that we have today and so this instrument has brought us as far as we are now!
